Also about “Holo Gaza Coast”…!? 

As I write this title for my diary this Friday, I don’t know why I remembered my two friends Hisham Ghasib and Ghazi Al-Sourani! I felt that I was provoking them with the title about the beautiful tyranny that I chose for this diary. “Hisham and Ghazi” are two faithful guardians of the concepts of democracy in our Jordanian society and also in the spaces of our Arab and Eastern world, and fierce enemies of Eastern tyranny and dictatorship in all its forms. As two philosopher thinkers, they stand on their Facebook pages on the lookout for every type of tyranny and subject it to deep dissection and criticism, and expose its flaws and methods of concealment with logic and philosophical analysis, and without mercy..! 

But this time, I will ask their permission and ask them to excuse me, because I am ‘overwhelmed with longing’ for my companion in this life, “Mona”, … I did not succeed in avoiding using a verb derived from tyranny … because this time I am describing my condition after Mona left me a week ago to Riyadh, not only alone but also in the company of my daughter Hiba, and my two young friends; Karameh and Noor ..! And they left me and the house in a terrible silence and emptiness ..! 

She is now in her seat on the plane heading to Amman, which left the airport only five minutes ago (9:35am) ..! And will arrive in Amman after three hours. 

A terrible silence occupies the corners and spaces of the house… if it weren’t for a female voice or a male voice coming from the living room TV, delivering me bursts of news, or making room for the opinions of the interlocutors on a general topic, that silence would be broken: sometimes with valuable opinions and sometimes with opinions with racist content or justification for events and crimes that do not accept justification…! 

Many people ask me about my opinion on the recent events that have swept our Levant for four months and have turned everything upside down, especially after Trump’s return… They are surprised when I say that I am optimistic… Despite everything, the catastrophe and heroism that accompanied the events of the Gaza Holocaust since October 7 two years ago have turned everything upside down, not only in Palestine but in all the countries of our Levant that are engulfed in bloody events, and even in all parts of the world. They have restored momentum to the Palestinian cause, whose features were almost obscured by the curtains of betrayal, negligence, failure, frustration and neglect, and which have overthrown its justice and thrown it into the corners of oblivion, far from sight… And I add… Nothing after October 7 can obliterate this cause, yes… Nothing, despite the enormity of the challenges and the horror of the attempts at obliteration and confiscation… Which are co-designed and implemented by multiple forces and parties of weight. An impact and resources that cannot be ignored…! 

Yes, despite everything, those forces will not succeed in their attempts to obliterate the issue, assassinate it, or even diminish it. The seventh of October brought our issue into every home in the world today. Indeed, Palestine has invaded the privacy of every individual in this universe, at all times of the day, on all days of the year, and in all the languages of the world. And not only with sound, but with live images as well. 

…This has never happened at any time in human history, …even the crimes of the Holocaust of the Jews in Europe committed by the Nazis and European fascists against the Jews and other citizens of European countries were not given the opportunity to be covered by the media with sound and image, in a manner similar to the success of modern media in covering the events of the Holocaust of the twenty-first century in Gaza and Palestine, and in Lebanon as well, ..! 

Allow me on this occasion to borrow from the human writer, son of burned Gaza, Akram Al-Sourani, his description of that holocaust. He called it the “Gaza Holocaust,” and let me put this name on an equal footing and more than the well-known “Holocaust,” but with one big difference: 

The crimes of the “Holocaust” were committed by the Nazis of Europe in the twentieth century, but the crimes of the “Holo-Gaza Coast” were committed this time by Jews, descendants of the victims of the twentieth century Holocaust; Jews who were deceived by Zionism in occupied Palestine, and turned into fascist, racist, murderous criminals, who committed the most heinous crimes of the twenty-first century against the Palestinians, the indigenous people of Palestine…! And with their crimes, they tarnished the reputation of the free Jews of the world in Palestine and abroad with the most heinous descriptions…! 

I am optimistic, … because nothing in this world can now cover up the extent of the injustice that has befallen our Palestinian Arab people and the peoples of our Arab countries surrounding Palestine as a result of what Zionism has committed against them a century ago, just as nothing in this world can hide the extent of the damage that Zionism has inflicted on the Jews of the world, a damage that neither Netanyahu nor Trump nor anyone who supports them everywhere in this world can hide from the eyes of people, including the Jews of the world everywhere, … and this is what indicates that Zionism is nothing but a racist doctrine destined for extinction and disappearance, … and when that happens, all of humanity, including its Jews, will have been liberated from the evils of Zionism and what it brought upon the Palestinians and Arabs from the countries neighboring Palestine, and upon the Jews of pain, injustice and persecution ..! And upon Palestine from the dark colonial nightmare that has continued to hover over it since 1948 ..! 

The dawn of a free Palestine for its free citizens is coming inevitably..!
